UVA's website says they interview around 650 applicants and accept around 300, which is a post-II acceptance rate of 46%.From what I understand the bottom line is: EVMS takes many people off the waitlist however, how many will vary year to year depending on the number of people who accept EVMS as their medical school. I was invited like second week of December, then waitlisted shortly afterward and was accepted off waitlist May 1. Phoenix also invited me to interview a few days after Tucson, then rejected me sometime in a February. We were one of the last groups to interview for both UA schools, so spots were limited.
