I got a (new to me) Gen 4 Outback 3.6R that needed a bit of love. I changed the battery the other day, and unfortunately the car won't start. Some details: I had a memory saver hooked up, but I think it didn't work as intended, and probably didn't maintain power to the OBD port. I'm an idiot and accidentally let the negative terminal touch the ...Subaru 2000, daughter left the house and the radio went off and she realized she had no power. No power other than the ignition beeps when keys are in and the door opens and power locks work.

Oct 23, 2020 · #1 · Oct 23, 2020. For the past few days I noticed my driver's window was acting funny. It would not roll up or down. After a few more attempts it would work. Today I noticed the window goes up about a quarter of the way then stops (or goes back down). Again after a few seconds everything works fine.If the battery is dead, it either isn't storing enough voltage or it isn't charging enough. A bad alternator can cause your battery to drain to the point it can't turn your Outback over. Suspect the alternator if the battery light stays on after charging your car's battery or jumping it. 3. Starter Motor.First, as you may or may not know, you have to press the brake for the car to shift out of park. Check and make sure your brake lights work. I'm pretty sure that the switch that turns on the brake lights also sends the feed to allow the shifter to move out of park. Next, check all the fuses in the fuse box and make sure they're all good.The solution: While lift gate was pushed to the down position (but wouldn't lock). I gripped the power-opening latch over the license plate and held it for 5-10 seconds. It beeped during that time. I then touched it again briefly as i would normally do to open the hatch.
