Some details: I had a memory saver hooked up, but I think it didn't work as intended, and probably didn't maintain power to the OBD port. Today I noticed the window goes up about a quarter of the way then stops (or goes back down). Again after a few seconds everything works fine.If the battery is dead, it either isn't storing enough voltage or it isn't charging enough. A bad alternator can cause your battery to drain to the point it can't turn your Outback over. Suspect the alternator if the battery light stays on after charging your car's battery or jumping it. 3. Starter Motor.First, as you may or may not know, you have to press the brake for the car to shift out of park. Check and make sure your brake lights work. I'm pretty sure that the switch that turns on the brake lights also sends the feed to allow the shifter to move out of park. Next, check all the fuses in the fuse box and make sure they're all good.The solution: While lift gate was pushed to the down position (but wouldn't lock).
