Yes, the 4.7 has proven to be a good motor for Toyota. However, the 5.7 is like comparing apples to oranges. The power difference is phenomenal, gas mileage is comparable, and towing is for the most part unlimited. The 07's and 08's are identical.I have used Mobil 1 5W30 full synthetic oil in my V8 for the last 3 years. Full synthetic does seem to make a difference for cold weather starting - especially up here where I can experience temperatures down to -30 or -35 Celcius.
